Ace McShane by Nemo-the-Everbeing Ace McShane by Nemo-the-Everbeing
This was part of a series of drawings I did of companions wearing bits of their Doctor's costume. It was fun, and a nice way to keep a character study interesting. They were all done with ink and marker, touched up in Photoshop with the background fill color added at that time.

Your welcome! I really love this drawing. I think you made Ace a *bit* too girlish looking, but the staff REALLY makes up for it.

Haha, all those "wickeds" thrown about, but, I'm not saying Ace's line when I say "wicked awesome" because having my own terrible accent and speech patterns, I would, truly say it.

There you go. Wicked awesome.

Also, it would be quite amusing for a pic of the Doctor(s) wearing a bit of a companion's outfit. Wouldn't it....I may do that. I have a funny sense of humor really.

Anyway, I love Ace, and that hat and brolly.

Thanks! For a while I wanted to do a Doctor costume-swap (mixing up all the Doctors' costumes and finally letting some of the Docs who got really screwed on the costuming front get some of their own back). But I never got around it it. Ah, well.

If I do, I'll link it to you. Oh, by the by, I really *really* think you should draw "the impostor" doctor from your fic on LJ. :)

Unfortunately as a new comer to Doctor Who, and one who hails from a country where the most we get in the way of merchandice are newwho boxsets I haven't had much expereince with Ace, pity. I would have loved to have seen her in action, espcially with the baseball bat, I've personally always wanted to push a Dalek over myself (Exterminate me now!)

Anyway Ace lookes softer here, than she usually does it's a nice transition. I love the Doctor's unbrella!

Wait, you can find BOX SETS?

I find a lot of Doctor Who books and videos at the library and the bookstore, and that's about it.

Thanks much. If, by 'country' you mean America, then I too hail from those sunny shores. Several of the Seventh Doctor adventures, including "Remembrance of the Daleks", "Ghost Light" (personal favorite), "The Curse of Fenric", "Survival" (last of the classic serials), and soon "Battlefield" are out on dvd hereabouts. Also, although I wouldn't *ahem* ever advocate that sort of thing *ahem*, the entire run of every Doctor is available on bittorrent. Ahem.

I like a soft Ace as much as the kickass one. Both are a lot of fun, and even when Ace is soft, she's a bit sly.

No I'm not from America, I'm a New Zealander no classic Who here (We were a brittish colony for a a century or so and we don't even get their T.V shows!) You can buy D.V.D's of the third, forth and fifth Doctor here, but it's only one episode per D.V.D and they're horribly expensive!

I've been watching most of my classic Who on Youtube, someone put up the enire Unearthly Child Story Arc and I'm halfway through the Daleks first apperance. But Downloading them seems a lot quicker....You know not that I'm advocating it....

Wicked!!! (Sorry was that too cliched?) Could you draw an older Ace, one who's been with the Doctor for years and years? I'd do it myself but all I can draw are stick figures.

The Ace-in-yellow from "The Genocide is supposed to be Ace at about twenty-eight. I've never tried for an older Ace than that, but it might be fun. I could dig up some pictures of Sophie Aldred now and try something at some point. No promises it'll be soon in coming. I make whatever the mood wants me to (and right now it wants me to do several other projects). But I well may try at some point.

She did. Maybe not as skilled as Leela, but you have to give props to a girl who's willing to go up against a Dalek armed with nothing but a baseball bat or a platoon of Cybermen with nothing but a sling-shot (or catapult, if you hail from across the pond from the US of A).
